Screen Americas has announced the installation of the Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI S at Digi-Paq of Kortemark, Belgium, marking a milestone for Screen, which now has 350 presses from its Truepress LABEL portfolio installed throughout the world, including more than 50 in North America.

While the market factors such as language and branding diversification that have accelerated digital print adoption for label manufacturing in the EU aren’t as common as in the US, Screen Americas is seeing more providers turn to high-speed inkjet.

“Our customers have come to rely on Screen technology to meet last-minute requests for prototype runs, versioned jobs and even fast-turn full production jobs,” says Ken Ingram, president of Screen Americas. “And many conventional printers looking to expand into new applications and markets are choosing to build their label businesses on digital from the start. As a partner, we value the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of our customer’s entire enterprise as opposed to just one segment of it.”

The Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI S is the seventh label press from Screen to be installed at the Belgium label printer, which serves many clients in the food and cosmetic industries who demand quality resolution and quick turnarounds. With a wide color gamut that includes both orange and blue inks, the Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI S allows Digi-Paq to meet its customers’ expectations with regard to replicating logos and other branded trademarks.

Founded in 2017, Digi-Paq began using Screen digital roll-fed inkjet technology within the first year of its establishment. “Since the company was founded, we have consistently pursued a business strategy centered on digital printing,” says Co-CEO Frederik Parrein of Digi-Paq. “This approach has enabled us to establish an organizational foundation that responds with flexibility and promptness to the diverse needs of our customers, while sustaining a high level of competitiveness in the market.”

Co-CEO Christophe Parrein of Digi-Paq adds that the company’s growth has always been driven by technology. “This means we are constantly looking at the latest label technology in order to continue providing optimal solutions. Based on our market research, we believe Screen’s digital inkjet technology is an ideal choice for our business. In addition to outstanding print quality and production stability, Screen offers superior post-installation support and ongoing technical innovation.”

The latest milestone reflects the keen interest label manufacturers have in using inkjet roll-fed technology to produce prime and industrial labels on a wide variety of substrates. A seventh installation at a single company signifies the mutual trust Screen has with its customers. “Our partnership with Digi-Paq has been a remarkable success story for both companies,” says Hiromi Sakurai, president of Screen Graphic Solutions. “We place great importance not only on the performance and quality of our presses, but on being a reliable partner that moves in step with our customers—from installation and operation to future-oriented technology development.”
